SOUPE ET SOCIAL

You're invited to join us for a Soupe et Social on the West Quay, down by the pétanque terrain, on Thursday 17th July from 6pm. The location is the big sandy area here.

We'll share a picnic with bread and cheese, and, if you fancy, enjoy a few games of pétanque. So bring a picnic blanket, any news that want to share with the community, and grab your friends, family and neighbours on the way.

In case you missed it, 2025 sees the 200th anniversary of the ferry link between Newhaven and Dieppe, so we'll be waving in the ferry with a very warm Newhaven welcome at around 9pm.

As always, it's free to attend and open to all. You're invited!

We can highly recommend the hospitality at The Hope if you'd like to stay on for some drinks and/or something more substantial to eat. If you are driving, please don't park in The Hope carpark as this is reserved for their customers, and we don't want to get in the way. There is plenty of free parking a little further on, at West Beach. Bring your swimmers if you feel like it. We might need a dip if this weather keeps up!

LEAP THEN LOOK - ARTISTS TALK

Leap Then Look create interactive artworks, participatory projects, workshops and events. They work with people from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and cognitive differences, creating vivid experiences of contemporary art in all its forms; sculpture, photography, film, performance, mark-making and installation.

Join us on Thursday 28th August as we hear from founding artists Lucy Cran and Bill Leslie about their creative practice and what drives them to create interactive and public art that has the needs and aspirations of communities at its heart.

The artist's talk is part of a series of events at the Creative Living Lab - a pop-up project space run by Hospitable Environment to explore how creativity can contribute to happier, healthier lives and more connected communities.

6-8pm, Thursday 28th August. The Creative Living Lab, Top Floor of the Marine Workshops. Book your tickets here.
