You're invited!

We are excited a Soup & Social-style get together - next Thursday 23rd April at the Marine Workshops on Newhaven's riverside.
We have been working with East Sussex Public Health and the University of Brighton on a project called Research Ready Communities; a project that reimagines what research looks like and who it belongs to.

Rather than seeing communities as needing to be prepared for - or subjects of - research, this work celebrates the ways people are already doing it every day through storytelling, shared reflection, organising together, and making sense of lived experience. These are powerful, familiar practices that show research is something we can all take part in.
Drawing on four years of working with Newhaven's community, we are co-creating an exhibition and community research lab next weekend with an invitation to recognise expertise, intergenerational listening, and see research as something collective, inclusive, and open to all. We will be hosting open creative workshops within the space, and all ages are welcome to drop in from Friday 24th 10am - 3pm, Saturday 25th 1pm- 4pm, and Sunday. 26th 10am - 2pm.
